Reach Out and Help Someone This Christmas

Overheard at the mall: “I just don’t know what to get Mama for Christmas,” *heavy sigh* “She has everything.”

Whether you are searching for the perfect gift for Mama-who-has-everything or seeking an alternative to traditional gift-giving, please consider a gift to Main Street Mission in honor of your loved one. Your donation will be acknowledged by a card from Main Street Mission (the amount will not be disclosed) which can be mailed directly to the recipient or sent to you for presentation. And, because the tax-man cometh, remember that Main Street Mission is a 501(c)(3) organization and your donation may be tax deductible.

Or consider these ways to share:

We have several families who could use some extra help with Christmas gifts for their children. If you are interested in helping my donating some gift cards, please call Anne at the Mission at 704-855-2909. (Please leave a message if necessary and Anne will return your call.) We hope to receive these donations by December 16.

If you are planning to update your i-phone, your old i-phone can be donated to Main Street Mission to be refurbished and distributed to a student in need. Many requests for i-pods have been submitted to angel trees and a local business has offered to refurbish an i-phone as an i-pod. (Contact Anne at MSM for more information if you have an i-phone to donate.)

Why not collect a “Twelve Days of Christmas” food donation in honor of your loved one? The food (or a donation representing the value of the food) may be delivered to Main Street Mission and you may provide the honoree with a list of the items included. Feel free to use the following list or create your own.
