We appreciate your support and ask that you keep us in your prayers.
Main Street Mission is in need of Volunteers! We need volunteers to collect the fresh food from Food Lion Store #416, on Highway 29 near Pizza Hut. Days needed are Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Volunteers must have a larger vehicle or truck and will be lifting moderately heavy coolers and totes of food. Volunteers must be available between the hours of 10 am – 12 noon. To complete the collection and delivery is about 45 minutes.
Please call 704-855-2909 and ask for Anne or Tom. Thank you!
While the need is increasing, so is God’s hand of provision. We are receiving all sorts of fresh and frozen resources from all over the community. The problem is where to process and store it! MSM is in need of a walk-in cooler, walk-in freezer and a work area for processing the bounty of vegetables, fresh and frozen meats as well as dry goods.
We would like to extend a big Thank You to Darrell Harwood and the Cool Water Band and the Lucky Turn Around for the recent fund raiser. If you missed it you missed a good time
Main Street Mission has a new family member, Tom Harding. Tom is a YASC, Young Adult Service Community the United Church of Christ's Volunteer Ministries Program. Mount Zion UCC in China Grove is his hosst Church and he will be with us until July 2013.
Welcome Tom
